2020 Events

SealedBid was a Corporate Sponsor at the Central Minnesota Manufacturers Association (“CMMA“) Golf Social!  This event took place on Tuesday September 15th, 2020 at Wapicada Golf Club in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.

The Epicureans (Jerry Clark, founding member) were inducted into the 2020 Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame!  The induction event was originally planned on Labor Day weekend 2020 but has been postponed to Memorial Day weekend 2021.

Jerry Clark participated in the “3 B’s – Business – Bank – Buyer (Economic Update)” webinar hosted by MNCAR.  This webinar took place on June 9th, 2020 and included the Chief Investment Officer from Old National Bank, the President of the MN Chamber of Commerce and the Senior VP in Minneapolis Institutional Properties at CBRE as speakers.

Blake Johnson took part in MNCAR‘s webinar “Alternative Financing Resources to Get your Deal Done-SBA 504 Loans” that was on May 5th, 2020.

On April 29th, SealedBid watched the webinar “Access the Additional $310 Billion in PPP Loans Approved by The Senate” hosted by the Minnesota Real Estate Journal (MREJ).

Jerry Clark participated in IBBA‘s webinar “How to Sell Distressed Businesses in the Coronavirus Era” on March 31, 2020.  This webinar discussed a step-by-step process on how to handle selling distressed businesses during the economic downturn caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jerry Clark, Founding/Managing Officer, was on an “Auction Processes for the 21st Century” panel hosted by TMA Minnesota.  This panel event took place on Thursday, February 20th in downtown Minneapolis.

2019 Events

SealedBid’s Founding/Managing Officer, Jerry Clark, was one of five panelists in an Exit Strategies discussion on October 30th, 2019!  This panel discussion was hosted by Club E and Upsize Magazine and covered topics including prepping for a sale, finding buyers, structuring and financing the deal and avoiding the mistakes that sellers often make.  Due diligence and valuations were also discussed.

SealedBid was a Corporate Sponsor for the CMMA Golf Social!  This event took place on June 11th, 2019 at Wapicada Golf Club in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota from 11:00 AM until 6:30 PM.

Stinson LLP hosted a private equity seminar on June 5th, 2019 at the Hewing Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.  Blake Johnson attended this seminar which discussed trends in the rapidly changing field of Representations and Warranties Insurance.  Blake was able to network with private equity firm principals and other M&A professionals.

The State of Manufacturing 2019 – Statewide Survey Release Event will be held on May 14th, 2019 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.  The event will feature a briefing of the 2019 results, a manufacturing panel discussion and networking opportunities.

SealedBid attended the PCM Companies 2019 Masters Party on April 11th, 2019.  This networking event took place in Mendota Heights, Minnesota and included many private equity professionals.

SealedBid participated in the State of Brokerage in Minnetonka, Minnesota on March 13, 2019.  The State of Brokerage is organized by MNCAR and included panelist speakers from a variety of companies in the Twin Cities.

Blake Johnson attended the Young Professionals Networking Event on February 28th, 2019.  This event took place from 4:00PM – 7:00PM in downtown Minneapolis and was hosted by Merchant & Gould P.C.
Stinson Leonard Street LLP hosted a Ducks Unlimited fundraiser on January 29th, 2019 from 5:30PM – 9:00PM in downtown Minneapolis.  Blake Johnson networked with other conservationists at this fundraiser which focused on helping conserve, restore and manage wetlands in North America.

2018 Events

 
Jerry Clark attended the 2018 Business Succession Summit.  This Summit was held at the Edina Country Club on October 16th.  There were many Succession Planning presenters from the Twin Cities area that discussed how businesses can have successful transitions.

The Minnesota Real Estate Journal hosted a Downtown Development Summit on October 5th, 2018 at the Golden Valley Country Club.  Blake Johnson attended this event and learned about projects shaping the look of Minneapolis from a variety of real estate experts.
Isabel Meza participated in the Digital Summit in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 23rd and August 24th.  This conference was held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  There were many marketing speakers who discussed digital marketing best practices, latest trends and strategies.

On August 8th, Blake Johnson attended a Happy Hour hosted by Venture Bank.  This event took place at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis, Minnesota where Blake was able to network with fellow M&A professionals!
SealedBid participated in the CMMA Golf Social at the Driftwood Golf Course in Clearwater, Minnesota.  This was an all-day event on Tuesday, June 19th and was the 6th Annual CMMA golf fundraiser.

Blake Johnson attended “The State of Manufacturing 2018” on May 17th.  This event was held at the Minneapolis Convention Center in downtown Minneapolis.  Blake spent time networking with manufacturers, as well as elected officials, economic development professionals, educators and granting agencies that are connected to the manufacturing industry.

On April 11th, SealedBid attended the State of Brokerage Program.  This event was hosted by MNCAR and took place at the Minneapolis Marriot Southwest in Minnetonka.  A 2018 outlook on office, industrial and retail real estate was discussed.
SealedBid joined Fredrikson and Byron’s State of the Middle Market Roundtable 2018 which took place on March 14th.  Other influential individuals in the middle-market deal community also attended to discuss the $10-$250 million market space.
SealedBid participated in CliftonLarsonAllen‘s webinar “Tax Reform and M&A Transactions” on February 9th, 2018.  This webinar focused on the recent tax reform and the effects of these changes for businesses and private equity firms.

On January 8th, Jerry Clark attended Minnesota Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Statewide Policy Tour.  This tour took place in Fairmont, Minnesota at Kahler Automation.  During this tour, they discussed what Minnesota companies are forecasting for growth and what that means for Minnesota Chamber’s 2018 legislative agenda to grow the Minnesota economy.
